How to take bookings on your website

If you run a salon, barbershop or anything else with a diary, your website should let people book. On a GoMarty site there are two ways, and you can use both.

Option 1: booking requests you confirm

Choose the Booking request form when you plan your site. Customers pick a service, a day and a time that suits them, and leave their name and number. It's emailed to you straight away and listed on your dashboard. You then call or WhatsApp them to confirm.

Good for: anyone who doesn't have a booking system and doesn't want one. There's nothing to set up and nothing extra to pay.

Good to know: it's a request, not a confirmed slot. It doesn't check your diary, so tell customers you'll confirm, and do it quickly.

Option 2: a link to your booking system

If you already use Booksy, Fresha, Cal.com or similar, switch on the Online booking link plugin and paste your booking page address. It must start with https://. Your main button then takes customers straight to your booking page, where they can see real open slots.

Good for: a busy diary, more than one staff member, or taking deposits. Those services handle reminders and payments their own way, under their own terms and fees, and customers book on their page, not inside your site.

Using Bookly? Bookly is mainly a WordPress plugin, so you'd need a public page on your own WordPress site with its booking form on it. Paste that page's address the same way.

Using both

You can keep the request form as well. Customers who'd rather not use a booking system can still send a request, and your site offers them the link too.

Changing your mind

Both can be changed any time from Edit my site, under Form and Plugins. It's free, and live the moment you save.
